Farris Chicken Noodle Soup
Original Source: Justin - A spin off of Blake's Famous Soup.

Serving Size: 1 c.
Description: ✅ Tested and true for the tastebuds. A hearty, slightly creamy chicken noodle soup that brings more flavor.
Requires a 8+ Quart pot. Otherwise, it will overflow!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 thick chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
- 4 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 whole yellow onion
- 1 tsp Parsley
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1 Tbsp Garlic salt
- 12 c. chicken broth (12 c. water / 8 tsp Knorr's chicken bullion)
- 2 pkgs Reams Frozen Homestyle Noodles
- 1 c. half and half (Adjust for taste)
Optional
- For a little heat: Creole Seasoning (I recommend about 1 tsp)
Instructions
- Add oil to pot, and heat up to medium heat.
- Add and cook the chicken in the pot until golden.
- Add and cook the onions, carrots and celery till just under tender.
- Add seasonings, cook for additional minute, or until fragrant.
- Add broth to pot and bring to boil.
- Add noodles and cook the noodles until tender, about 20 minutes.
- After noodles are cooked, take off heat. Add half and half and stir.
- If adding creole seasoning, add to taste and stir.
- Let it sit for about 5 - 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to mingle a little longer.
- Serve while hot!
