Classic Lasagna

Description: Found on the Google Drive. Honestly, is a simple great recipe to have while camping.
Ingredients
- 1 box of lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground italian sausage (or hamburger)
- ¼ c. yellow onion, diced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- Some sugar
- Some basil
- 2 c. cottage cheese (or ricotta)
- 1 lb shredded mozzarella cheese (divided) between the cheese mixture & top layer
- Parsley flakes
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook pasta to desired tenderness. In separate pan, cook sausage & onion together. When meat is cooked through, drain excess fat. Add tomato sauce, then add sugar & basil.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cottage cheese & mozzarella cheese til well balanced. Then add parsley to the cheese mixture.
- To layer: grease a 9×13 baking dish, coat with some sauce, add noodles across, then cheese mixture, then more sauce. Repeat. Final top of noodles will have remaining sauce & mozzarella cheese. Bake in 350°F oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese has melted & browned a little.
