Description: Wanting cheeseburgers, pasta but no dishes? One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta is the way to go!

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 1/2 lb pasta shells, uncooked
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp hot dog relish
  • 2 green onions

Instructions

  1. Cut up and dice the yellow onion. Add it, along with olive oil and ground beef to a large deep skillet and saute over medium heat.
  2. Cook the beef until fully browned and onion is soft and translucent. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add the flour to the skillet and continue to cook while stirring. Flour will begin to coat the bottom of the skillet. Make sure not to let it burn.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and beef broth to the skillet, deglazing the pan.
  5. Add the uncooked pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  6. Place a lid and bring the liquids to a boil. Stir once more and bring to low, and cook for another 10-15 minutes, until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened.
  7. After cooking the pasta, add cheddar and mix until melted. Then mix the hot dog relish. Top with green onions.
