Description: Wanting cheeseburgers, pasta but no dishes? One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta is the way to go!
Ingredients
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1/2 lb pasta shells, uncooked
- 4 oz cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp hot dog relish
- 2 green onions
Instructions
- Cut up and dice the yellow onion. Add it, along with olive oil and ground beef to a large deep skillet and saute over medium heat.
- Cook the beef until fully browned and onion is soft and translucent. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the flour to the skillet and continue to cook while stirring. Flour will begin to coat the bottom of the skillet. Make sure not to let it burn.
- Add the tomato sauce and beef broth to the skillet, deglazing the pan.
- Add the uncooked pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Place a lid and bring the liquids to a boil. Stir once more and bring to low, and cook for another 10-15 minutes, until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened.
- After cooking the pasta, add cheddar and mix until melted. Then mix the hot dog relish. Top with green onions.
