Ingredients
- 12 count King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
- 1 lb ground beef
- @frac12; tsp each of salt and pepper
- 1 tsp each of garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 6 Pepper jack cheese slices
- @frac12; cup shredded colby jack cheese
- Crispy fried onions
- 6 pieces of bacon cooked and crumbled
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook your bacon however you prefer — we like baking it at 400°F on a parchment-lined sheet pan for about 25 minutes until crispy. Set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Drain the grease, then stir in the minced garlic and BBQ sauce.
- Grease a baking dish or sheet pan and lay down the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls.
- Layer on the pepper jack cheese, then the beef mixture. Top with shredded colby jack, crumbled bacon, and crispy fried onions. Add a little extra BBQ sauce if you're feeling it.
- Cap with the top buns, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake at 350°F for 10–15 minutes until golden. Dig in!
